Batdelger Byambasuren (b. 1988) is a Mongolian film and theater director and screenwriter from Davst soum, Uvs Province. He graduated from the Mongolian University of Arts and Culture in 2010 with a degree in directing. He has worked as chief director at the “Oirad” Theater and the Arkhangai Music and Drama Theater, and has been active in the film industry since 2019. His feature films as a director include Disorder (Soril, 2019), Lullaby (2020), Tatar (2021), and The Horizon (Shar Gegee, 2022). In 2023, The Horizon received the Best Screenplay Award at the Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival and the Best Screen Production Award at the Mongolian National Silver Tree Awards. His works are known for their realistic portrayal of Mongolian life and human emotions.
