After receiving an ethical disciplinary sanction, attorney Tengis takes on the defense of a man accused of murdering a young child, a case that has outraged the public. Doubting his client’s mental state, Tengis requests a postponement of the trial. This triggers public suspicion and pushes social outrage to the extreme.
Director B. Garamkhand graduated from the University of Arts and Culture in 2002. He has worked as a director, screenwriter, production manager, unit production manager (UPM), language supervisor, and producer on various film projects. His filmography includes The Faith (director, 2016), Above All (director, 2017), Mongolian Connection (UPM, 2018, USA/Kazakhstan), Veins of the World (production manager, 2018, Germany), Waiting for the Barbarians (language supervisor, 2018, USA/Colombia/Italy/Morocco), Love Hustle (writer/director, 2019), Courage (writer/director, 2020), Between Heaven and Earth (writer, 2021), Lost Days (writer/director, 2023), and Public Enemy (writer/director, 2026).
His works have received recognition at Mongolian and international film festivals. The Faith received the Audience Award at the Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles, USA, as well as the Grand Prix, Best Actor, and Best Composer awards at the Mongolian Cinema Awards. Lost Days was officially selected for the Asian Film Festival Barcelona – Casa Asia 2023 and the Tashkent International Film Festival 2023. It also received the Best Sound Editing award at the 2023 Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize at the “Vkrugu Semyi” Film Festival in 2024.
